Dem Bones, Dem Bones

In a little town outside of Prague lies the most bizarre church I have ever seen. During the Black Death and the following wars, there were 40,000 to 70,000 people buried at this location. Soon of course there became too many bodies to deal with, so some enterprising monk started arranging the bones into piles. And it spread from there. Now the basement of this unassuming church is a monument to the macabre. This ones for you Drew!

Some have been arranged into fancy displays.
While thousands of others are just arranged in piles.
A massive bone chandelier.
Photo proof that cherubs have always been creepy.

After awhile you actually become used to this whole sight, and I found myself fascinated with how they had been strung up together.

That is one complicated art project.

Then proving further that I am becoming my mother (god help me) I spent some time wandering around the neighboring cemetery. They had some super cool tombstones though!
