Gettin Sick in Asia

It’s a interesting experience to be sure. So far I have managed to be extremely lucky with my heath until I came down with this blasted cold. It’s set up shop in my lungs and is refusing to leave.  I finally asked my hostel today about finding a doctor and they stared at me in confusion. Why don’t you just go to the pharmacy and get what you need? I’ve been to the pharmacy several times, all I end up with is more cough syrup and decongestant. But evidently you can get much much more.

So in the spirit of fun and in hopes of finally killing my sickness, I googled the amazing Z Pack. I love that miracle pill azithromycin! So I wrote it down on a little piece of paper and waltzed over to the closest pharmacy. I honestly didn’t expect it to work, but it did. Like clockwork. Walked in, handed the paper to the lady and she plopped the drug down on the counter. Cost? 50 RM or $16! Seriously we should just change our health care system now.

Let’s hope for a speedy recovery!
