My new obsession: Part Duex

Gondolas. Seriously, NZ has a ton of them. I rode the one in Rotorua and now the one in Christchurch. Sadly this one did not come with luging and I was unable to show-off my innate ability to fall off of them again. Anyways, gondolas. Awesome stuff. Although I can never shake the feeling that I should be wearing snow gear when I get on. Scary.

Gondolas always come with incredible views of the surroundings. This one was no exception.

Here’s the top of the gondola. It had a gift shop and a cafe, of course.

And pretty cactus flower things.

The harbor at Lyttelton complete with cruise ship.

An awesome panorama of the top!

But see these posts?

I seriously whacked my head on them at least 3 times. It might have been more but I stopped paying attention because it was sad. And pathetic. I mean, they’re big posts! How did I keep missing them when walking around?! The last time a little kid laughed at me and I had to work very strongly at the urge to throw him over the rail. So never say that I don’t have willpower. :)
